Worst part is that they are not even built very nicely, bad boom time construction and over inflated prices...........bad bad bad situation for working class to be sure. I have given up on thinking about solutions to this problem and for now I will simply sit and dream of nice houses in sunny parts of the world.

The answer is fertility. A woman past the age of 35 is an extremely bad choice for a man if he wants to have children. On the other side, a 35-40 year old man can be an excellent choice for a woman aged 24-28 who wants to start a family and needs a good man to take care of her. The main issue is that women have a very short window for optimal chilbearing, that is around 15-30 years of age, and hence these are a woman's most desirable and coveted years. For a man making love to a 40 year old is only a substitute prize. His instincts tell him to make love to the fertile 20 year old girl. In an ideal world girls should bond to men around 10 years older when they are around 14-19 and then marry them at around 20-22 years of age to create the next generation.
Gannon I totally understand your point and yes for the sake of reproduction of our species I can somewhat agree with it as well. However and I do not...I repeat, I most certainly do not think it is fair or civilized at all. A man gets to have fun and sow his wild oats in his 20's and can then think of having kids after he turns 40, whereas a woman must get a career, husband and whatever else required so she can start popping out kids while she is still fertile. Grossly unfair! we are no longer living in the dark ages. Women need to wake up and just stop dating those dirty old men and let them realize that they need to go find someone their own age to settle down with (afterall there is a beautiful gift of science called fertility drugs)
